All Star Game (Yawn)

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is tonight. Save yourself some time and watch this video instead of the game. The video is only a minute long and WAYYYYY less boring than the commercial-laden All Star Game. Don't get me wrong, I used to love baseball. I still do! I just don't have the attention span to watch a three (or four) hour baseball game on television anymore.... And I definitely don't have the patience to pay attention to what's happening in baseball during the inexplicable 162 game season.

At least the All Star Game means that the season is half over. Wait.... What?!?!?! There's three more months of baseball and 81 more baseball games for each team.

The video shows Josh Womack of the Long Beach Armada (of the independent Golden Baseball League) performing bat tricks for the camera before a game.... I'd like to see the steroid-laden behemoths in the majors do this....

  1. I actually saw this video yesterday morning while crusing the sports pages of yahoo. I think that is a great trick though. Wish I could do it!

Now your coming over to my side on the baseball stance! 161 games is way too long. They need to shorten it like basketball and hockey and make it 82 games period. I was going to watch a little of the home run derby but couldn't find it on tv. Was it over at 7pm?

  2. I think it was on early to appease the East Coast audience. I think the All-Star Game was finished by 7:00 p.m. Pacific.

In their defense, the game was played in St. Louis, so if the game was finished at 10 pm our time, it would have been midnight in St. Louis.

The baseball season is even longer.... It's 162 games! 81 before the break and 81 after the break.... I just look every couple of weeks to see how the Angels, Yankees and Royals are doing....
