Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Seth Grahame-Smith, author of 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' (a parody of Jane Austen's book with the inclusion of zombies....), has penned another tale....

Get prepared for the adventure of a lifetime as President Abraham Lincoln battles vampires in 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'! Written as a biography, Seth Grahame-Smith uses secret journals of Abraham Lincoln to reconstruct a different view on the life of one of our greatest presidents.

Gifted with his legendary height, strength, and skill with an ax, Abe sets out on a path of vengeance that will lead him all the way to the White House.

Better yet, Timur Bekmambetov and a little known director by the name of MR. TIM BURTON have already signed on to direct the live action film!!!! Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Can Tim Burton pull off the greatest film achievement of all time by casting long time friend and star of many of Burton's movies, Johnny Depp, as Abraham Lincoln?

The book's publishers, Hatchette Book Group, have created a little trailer to promote the book.... It has to be better than 'Twilight', right?

  1. Timur Bekmambetov is awesome, but I just question Tim Burton's involvement in anything anymore.

  2. I actually read about this last night and almost posted a blog about it, but I wanted to read more about the book and movie. Good post. I definitely want to see that movie. I might see about getting the audio book if its available.

  3. hmmm very interesting. I have not heard of this author before. I think I am going to have to track a book or two down and do some reading.

  4. This is totally random and thus, I'm very intrigued. Can't wait to see what Mr. Burton does with the movie!

  5. If it goes to film with Johnny Depp as good ol' Abe, then I'll be the first one in line...

  6. ...but is it fiction? hahaha

  7. I'd go see it. I love vampire stuff.

  8. @TS Hendrik - I agree that Tim Burton has gotten a little carried away with his persona, but I think his movies are still think his movies are worth a shot....

    @Jerry and @Lisa and Laura - If it's anything like the movie trailer made for the book, I'll see it....

    @Melissa - His first book was very popular.

    @Bendigo - If anybody can do it, Johnny can.

    @Chelsea - HA HA HA!!!!!

    @Joe - Twilight hurt me a little bit, but I like vampires stuff in general.

  9. This looks F'N AWESOME! I'm gonna get it for my Kindle. Good timing with rec, ASBLACK!
