Awesome Father Takes Pancake Breakfast To Another Level

Before everything else in my life, I'm a father first.... And I get really excited when I find sites that feature good fathers. Jim documents his pancake adventures as he creates creative design and architectural creations for his daughter Allie. They're not simple star or square patterns, you'll see octopus pancakes and princess pancakes.... Here are a few of my favorites!

Click on the banner below to go to his site and see pictures and videos of the rest of his awesome pancakes!

  2. I can't decide if I'm more impressed by the crane or just in love with the giraffe. Hmmm...

  3. HOW COOL IS THAT! Love, love, love your words about being a father! I don't think men get near the credit they deserve when it comes to raising families.

Yeah, and I always thought my dad's Micky Mouse shaped pancakes were cool...now I realize they were just accidental drips of batter.

  8. My dad used to make me pancakes for breakfast almost every day when I was growing up. He said the best way to start off the day was with a hot breakfast.
I miss those pancakes now that I don't live at home anymore.

He used to make MickeyMouse all the time b/c it was my favorite lol

  9. I thought I was lucky if I can pull off the mickey mouse without braking it. I wouldn't even want to eat any of those creations for fear of breaking them.

  17. Love these. But it looks like they wouldn't get to the table in time to melt the butter. Hey, what about a butter waterfall!

  18. LOL, ahhh, Honey, you would be worried about the butter!

I actually see Type 2 diabetes and obesity in his kid's future if she's eating pancakes every freaking morning, What a Dad!

  22. @Bossy Betty - Apparently only you and Jim have an hour in the morning to make pancakes…. lol

@Lisa Marie - He's so cool! And he's got a new Yo Gabba Gabba pancake up on his site now!

@Liz - You should see the ferris wheel on his site!

@Cotton Blossom - Thanks Cotton Blossom! You're right! Good fathers don't get the recognition they deserve!

At least your dad made the effort to make Mickey Mouse pancakes.... My dad stuck with making predictable round pancakes for me....

@Nippy The Penguin – Just follow the instruction videos on his site!

@Pat Tillett - IHOP generally does these 'All You Can Eat Pancakes' days every once in a while.... My wife bet me that I couldn't eat 8 pancakes, along with the eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns..... I made it through the eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and 7 and 3/4 pancakes.... It wasn't pretty....

@Marlene – I wonder if he has a pancake hall of fame in his house…. For the pancakes that were too pretty….

@JLG – Like I was telling Pat above, IHOP generally does these 'All You Can Eat Pancakes' days every once in a while.... When the first few pancakes come to the table, it’s ‘Yay! Pancakes!’ When the 8th pancake comes to the table, you never want to see pancakes again!

@Sam - He's amazingly creative! He just posted a Yo Gabba Gabba pancake on his page!

@Lady Hill - It's the most important meal of the day! My dad used to make me round pancakes.... That's all I got.... lol

@Cheeseboy - It takes an awesome dad to make the effort to go outside of the box and not make the traditional round pancakes! Keep making Mickey! :)

@TS Hendrik – He sends out a weekly newsletter about his pancake prowess….

@Jerry - Check out the videos on the site! Alleen and Thomas would love them!

@copyboy - Seeing his cool creations makes me want to learn how to make pancakes....

@blueviolet - The giraffe is super awesome! He cooks part of the pancake later than the others to get that color contrast....
@Ally - Check it out! He just posted an entire pac man game pancake to his site!

@RawknRobynsGoneBlogWild – Check out the picture… lol I think you use the ‘make a puddle and dip’ method….

@Mr. Stupid - Thanks Mr. Stupid! He's always coming up with new ideas!

@honeywinters – Mo’ Betta’ Butta’! I think the butter waterfall is a great idea!

@Colleen – I’ll take that diabetes…. Why is it that Jim’s Pancakes doesn’t make you smile?

@Buffee - lol....Did it not work the first time?

@Powdered Toast Man – I got to feed a giraffe at the San Diego Wild Animal Park!

@Sarah – I know, right?!?! I love how he added the lettuce and tomato too!
